Heritage Designation
The purpose of this project is to prepare cultural heritage evaluation reports for 9 properties on the Town's heritage register. The heritage register is a list of properties that are not designated for protection under the Ontario Heritage Act, however, have been determined to have cultural heritage value or interest. The cultural heritage evaluation reports will evaluate each of the properties on the heritage register to determine if the properties have design or physical value, contextual value, or historical value, in accordance with the Ontario Heritage Act.
The reports are intended to inform whether the subject properties should be recommended for designation and protection under section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act.
