Communications and Outreach
The Class EA includes a public engagement and consultation program to seek input from interested parties in the Town of Penetanguishene.
Some groups consulted thus far have included:
- Severn Sound Environmental Association
- Neighboring municipalities
- Businesses and landowners within the study area
Public Meetings
Public Information Centres (PIC) provide an opportunity to gather input from stakeholders and residents on the study. An upcoming PIC will be held in April 2023 to present, discuss, and collect feedback from stakeholders on the preliminary preferred alternative. Further details regarding this PIC will be provided in the coming weeks.
Public Information Centre (PIC)
The preliminary preferred alternative may have an impact on stakeholders and property owners, therefore, public consultation is a key element of the process. A Public Information Centre (PIC) is being held to gather input from stakeholders and residents on the preliminary preferred solution. All those interested in the project are invited to attend. The meeting will include a public comment and question period.
