Cycle Penetanguishene Bike Rodeo
Cycle Penetanguishene Bike Rodeo hosted by the Georgian Bay Women's Cycling Club, the Town of Penetanguishene, and the James Keating On the Move Committee.
The Cycle Penetanguishene Bike Rodeo is a FREE event for all ages. *Bike safety stations tailored towards young riders*
The event is designed to promote cycling and active transportation and to equip riders with the skills and gear needed to ride bikes this June for Bike Month.
Location: James Keating Elementary School (20 Lorne Ave, Penetanguishene)
Time: 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Supporters: Mountainview Cycling Club, Total Sports the Bike Shop, and the OPP.
Activities include:
1. Bike Safety Stations
- Helmet Check/Fitting
- Bike Inspection and small fixes
- Safe Riding Procedures
- Obstacle Course
- Bike Decorating Station
2. James Keating on the Move
- Safety Demonstrations & Activities
3. Youth Bikes available - Provided by the OPP
4. Bike Safety Kit for Bike Rodeo Participants. *Additional gear available by request, riders without a helmet and/or bell.
5. Commuter Challenge Support: Register for the Commuter Challenge and participate in National Commuter Week, June 1 - 7
